Welcome to Exploring france!
My name is Ms. Swanson or better yet Mademoiselle Swanson! I am very excited to get to know this fresh group of students.
For our first day we
- Learned our numbers from one to twenty!
- Started our very own take home french vocabulary book
- Listened to a popular french song!
- We made name tags
- Picked out our french names
- and we learned how to greet each other!
On our Second day of class Friday the 12th we...
- Reviewed our numbers from yesterday
- Learned vocabulary for colors
- Painted a picture using and labeling colors with our new vocab words
- Went outside to play hang man with all of our 30 new vocabulary words
- Played a rousing game of family feud using the vocabulary words
- We added to our take home vocab books
- Listened to our popular french songs, links coming soon!

Today Monday the 15th we...
- Reviewed our numbers and colors
- Learned vocabulary for the seasons and weather phrases
- Made art work using our new vocabulary and some of our words from last week
- Played a game of Dix points so we could better learn our vocabulary
- Listen to our new french song called Champs Elysees which is a classic french song!

Today Tuesday the 16th we
- Reviewed our vocabulary
- Learned new words to describe nature
- Created our own nature bingo cards
- Began our art project using our new nature vocabulary
- Listened to our new song of the day
- Watched part of Ratatouille while we created our artwork
- Talked about plans for our upcoming field trip
The plan is to dress nicely if not comfortable with dressing up, SEEK shirts are welcome as well!
- Permission slips will be sent home tomorrow with students, don't forget!

Today Wednesday the 17th we
- Reviewed our vocabulary
- Greeted each other using our french phrases
- No new words today! We worked on becoming more comfortable with our nature vocabulary!
- We learned about ten different french artists
- We finished our art work from yesterday in nature
- We recreated a Matisse painting that we will see at MIA
Remember tomorrow is our field trip Students can either wear their Project Seek shirt or they can dress nicely, make sure to wear comfortable shoes we will be walking A LOT! we start at the same time as usual and if students are being picked up the time is 2:30
Remember to sign permission slips and bring $5 for buses :)

- Made Mardi Gras Masks
- and worked on finishing our projects from yesterday

- Learned new vocabulary for body parts and transportation
- Made flash cards for our food words and worked on solidifying the words for nature and food
- Created art to use our new vocabulary words

- Created eiffel towers our of marshmallows and toothpicks!
- Worked on finishing our projects from the week!
- Made new flashcards for the last of our vocabulary
